Public Relations

• Help get the word out locally and on the Web.  We're looking for people to blog about 3.5, as well as contact regional press. To get started please join the PR mailing list by sending mail to press at mozilla dot com. Please introduce yourself, tell us where you're located and what your experience is with PR... and what level of engagement you're looking for and how much time you have to dedicate to Mozilla PR.

Events

• Host a local event to install and show people how to use Firefox 3.5 or attend a conference and present on Firefox.  Please get in touch with events @ mozilla dot com if you'd like to host one.  We're working on the following to help you:

Our "Faster" campaign

• John Slater and team have dreamed up a fun viral video campaign to get people excited about Firefox 3.5...more details to come!

• Firefox's tremendous growth has been due to word of mouth and the passion of our global community.  Let's take this to a new level with videos showing how much you love Firefox.  Create your own or collect them in your region at school, at an event or from your friends.

Campus Reps

• Help spread the word at your school by hosting an event or install day for Firefox 3.5.  Check out http://spreadfirefox.com/campusreps to see what other reps are up to.

• Do you have some design skills?  Remember the cute Foxkeh Download Day badge? Let's create some new, hard-to-resist site badges that will encourage downloads. 

Social Media

• Social networks, Twitter and blogs played a huge role in getting out the word on Download Day.  Help do the following:
  • Spread the word on your local social network by posting notes and changing your status or picture on launch day.
  • Tweet about the upcoming launch
  • Blog, blog, blog!  Do your own review of Firefox 3.5 and encourage your friends to.

Five for Five

• Share Firefox 3.5 with five of your acquaintances.  Walk them through the download and installation process. Show them a few add-ons.  The best Firefox conversion stories and pictures will be showcased on Spread Firefox.  Get it?  Five minutes of fame for five Firefox converts.  More details to come!
