Standard "open new tab button"

Hi,
Currently I seee no standard button somewhere in the tab bar to click to open a new tab. An add-on currently have to be installed to do this function. Some people prefer o keep their add-ons to a minimum. This is a function that all other tabbed browsers have as standard and it would really make the user interface nicer and navigation quicker without the extra add-on to manage.
