Big or Small: Which is more effective

Which approach is better in getting the Firefox message out there: one-to-one approach, events geared towards small groups (15 people max) or large groups? Do some approaches work better in certain situations? Any interesting observations? Share your thoughts.

Group Size Effectiveness

From my experience with this and other organizations I think that it's not the size of the group, but how you craft the message.
Obviously we want to tell as many people as we can about Firefox. Large groups would tell a bunch of people quickly, but one-to-one or one-to-few has a 'personal' feel to it.

For one-to-one or small group approach (primarily done threw tabling), I normally ask them what they know, and what they think, and then go from there. Like ask "Have you heard of firefox?" If no, then explain what it is. if yes, then maybe ask what you like about it, and go from there like talking to a friend. You want to get a feel for where they are, and craft your message to that.

For small/large groups you want to do more research on who they are. Like, if your talking to Computer Organizations you want to talk less about what firefox is, and more technical stuff. If your talking to lets just say the Student Government on Campus, you would want to spend more time on what firefox is, and why it is so great.

Hopefully that helps!
