Fast way to get response...

Hello everybody!

As I can see, FireFox has two main target groups: 1) People who already use FF and 2) people who don't use it yet.

At this time I want to say some words about first group. Exactly about how we can involve them in to action.

As everybody knows FF users are very loyal to everything what goes under the name "Mozilla" or "FireFox", but most of them (and that is normal) have minimum interest in spreading FF or helping FF become better if it takes "too much" time or effort.

I mean, that almostly every user of FF ready to take part in polemic "which browser is best" on resource where he spend his time or take part in event like "Download Day" (if someone spreading information about it on his "favourites") - just because it's easy: it takes you nothing but several clicks without leaving your usual web-environment (f.e. your favourite forum, blog or social network). But when he need to go somewhere and read more than 40 words to understand what people wants from him - he can lose any interest, because it's interrupts his leisure-time.

But how can such people be used on regular basis? And at the same time without intrusion into there web-environment? The answer is obvious: we can interact with them with the help of the special browser add-on.

I suggest to develop special add-on, which will allow SpreadFirefox Community to collect information (like results of polls among FF users) or to inform users about really important events.

The add-on must:
- be compact (light weighted and take very small part of browser panel)
- have flexible options (user must have opportunity to turn off/on anything he wants)
- be able to give user so much opportunities to help FF comuinity as user need (f.e. no matter how many times user wants to take part in poll - every time he click on "GetInvolved" button and he gets a new poll)
- have easy way to register user (just fill 3 boxes)
- be localised for every country (not only menu of add-on, but every message from the community)

The add-on mustn't:
- annoy user (add-on must apply to user (f.e. with propose to answer the poll or visit some link) not more often then ones a week)

This add-on will help user to bring in his contribution to FF development or spreading with minimum energies.

With the help of such add-on we can start polls among users, ask them to write some words on given topic or, at last, ask to visit important link. It will help to collect opinion not only of active users, which already consist in FF community's. Also we can get information about friends of FF users who don't use FF (why they don't use it? what push them away from it?).

Of course it will take some time and work to bring to the users the importance of their help for FF, but i'm sure it worth of doing it.

The main idea: Involve every user of FF (with help of small add-on) in one society, which will regularly provide SpreadFF Community with useful information .

I think all loyal users will accept request of FF community to help in makeing FF better. Especially, if this request will be given to them in the right form.
