Firefox Style Guide Discussion
Like everything else at Mozilla, the Firefox logo is open to the community. It’s available to anyone, but with that openness also comes the responsibility to use it wisely. So, we created a new, more detailed version of the existing Firefox logo rules to help guide its proper use.
We created this discussion page to be an open forum for questions, comments or other thoughts about the style guide (currently in beta form) or uses of the logo in general. Let us know what you think!
I think this was a good choice although it's sad that it is necessary. But in this way it is possible to still use the logo anywhere and still be sure that people use it reasonably. I think the possibility to use the logo and create once own interpretations is one of the most effecitve ways to spread FF all over the world since so many artists love to personalise just about everything which brings me back to so many features which allow this contained in FF itself. Keep the good work up.

This Logo is a legend. But still I think that the concept is great. It does not require any changes.
Sally,
The document talks about the use of the logo in other programs/websites, rather than how the logo could be changed. The logo definitely 'stands for something' and the brand needs to be protected.
Cheers,
Jacky
I remember the number of times, I was inspired by this amazing logo to create new ones. The logo has become an ico now, icon for great net surfing experience.
Yea, I think the colors are the best part. Out of my top 3 favorite colors orange and blue are both in the top 3.
Agreed, 3 colors scheme is classic and suitable.
I myself a Web designer of a new web hosting community where a lot of tough competiton. I like mozilla idea and i will implement the way and impression they used in their logo designing.
I'm a huge fan of Firefox. It's a million times more flexible than the competition and there are just so many addons (like FireFTP, SEO for Firefox, SnapLinks, etc) that I use every day while running my online airsoft sniper rifle shop...I dunno what I would do if I had to go back to the "old way" of interacting on internet.
I only stared really using it hardcore after Firefox 3 was released...so it seems a shame to change the logo so soon. If it's going to change though, I would like to see the face of the fox. I never undestood why it's back is to the user.

As my name suggests since the first time i used firefox i just stopped using IE. I can open 13-14 tabs and still it doesn't take so much processor time as IE does. Firefox extensions are so user friendly and does so much especially if you are doing research on the internet and especially search engines
One of the best parts about Firefox is the amazing richness of our 5,000-plus free add-ons
The add ons are the main reason started with firefox.
It is a must for any webmaster
repeat something often enough and people start to believe it. In the face of a successful presidency
wondering if it would be possible to do an experiment: on the Firefox pages, detect the browser version and suggest somewhere on the Homes that they upgrade -

that firefox logo is really awesome, but I had no idea about the effort behind Mozilla or Firefox. I am impressed and excited. Thanks to everyone who makes this possible

See the difference of the old one, this one is more professional and more attractive one. I myself a Web designer of a new web hosting community where a lot of tough competiton. I got an update notice today. When it was installed, I decided to investigate it's purpose. Before I knew it, I was looking for a way to put a logo on my web page. That led me to this point! I am so glad. I had no idea about the effort behind Mozilla or Firefox. I am impressed and excited. Thanks to everyone who makes this possible.
