IE8 to summer.

http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/default.aspx oh no!
IE8 .. lets see to summer how many ideas they have steal from Mozilla .. heh =]

Don't wait for IE 8 - Firefox NOW!

Unfortunately all Microsoft knows how to do is copy other people... poorly... and in such a way to lock people in. That is literally Microsoft's business model.

If they want to copy "standards compliance" that's great, but they need to do more than just pass the Acid test.

WE NEED MORE TESTS!!!

...and of course when released IE 8 will only be available for Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP1. :P And it will still find plenty of other ways to twist standards and lock people in.

Forget IE 8, Firefox is here now.

PROPER VIEWING

Well maybe the first thing is to be compliant with web standards! I redesigned my entire website, previewing on Firefox of course. Went back, tested it on Internet Explorer 7, its a mess! CSS screwed up, iframes, everything.

So a good place to start when having a web browser, is to view the sites correctly. Stop wasting your time on securing websites Microsoft, and worry about actually being able to see the sites properly in the first place!

Amen to that...

As a noob web designer, I have learned very quickly that IE is the devil... a very incompetent devil.

IE is Evil!

As an old fart, I learned IE was evil a long time ago. http://toastytech.com/evil/

BTW, the reason we hadn't heard anything from the IE 8 developers until recently is they tried to re-open the gateway to hell they used to create IE 4 and the developers got sucked in. ... Then they hired someone from their graphics department to make this Photoshop job.

Amen to that...
