FUTURE FIREFOX

Which feature would like to be included in firefox 3 and later versions??

Windows 98/ME

Personally I would like to see the ability to run under Windows 98/ME added back. (At this time the beta only runs under Windows 2000/XP/Vista). Even a separate port to these older versions would be ok.

There are still a lot of Windows 98/ME users out there, and it would be nice if they could continue to have a an up to date browser. It is true these numbers are decreasing, so by the time of Firefox 4 it probably won't be needed any more.

There are ports to Solaris and OS/2, and how many users of those are there?

Good Point!!

Firefox works for different OS like linux etc...but there are still some users who are still using windows 98/ME who would like to use firefox.

Firefox is the future!

... and windows 98/ME is the past....

But the problem with supporting window 98/ME is that is lacks the APIs needed to let Firefox work. The OSes are so old. Linux has them, so it is easier.
Do you really think that Firefox's development should be slowed down to support a every decreasing group of people? And would the the computers with Win98 really be powerful enough to support the new features that are coming in Firefox 3? I am thinking SVG and some of the new CSS support.
